Barbarians in Babylon

The British Museum claims that U.S.-led troops damaged ancient Iraqi city of Babylon. Not so surprising perhaps if you realize that the master plan here goes far beyond setting up a 'democracy', finding WMD, fighting 'terror' or whatever flimsy explanation the US regime is currently comfortable with. Indeed the master plan is a plan without definitive boundaries.
I don't know what is worse, if they did this on purpose or if they just don't care and are too uninformed to realize that they just desecrated one of the cradles of human civilization. One that predates America by 4000 years or so. Quite ironic and at the same time horrifyingly noncivilized.
