Galloway accused of lying to US Senate

It seems it took a few months for the US regime to conjure up more forged documents and “confessions” from their motley crew of former Iraqi statesmen. But here it is, the possible rematch between George Galloway and Norm Coleman’s merry men. The real question is what is new in this allegation and what was not in the hearing earlier this year. Or rather what the US has been able, or think they have been able, to prove since. It’s funny because for anyone who has seen the hearing in its entirety, the Senate members did try to pummel Galloway with various allegations. The so called evidence they provided was refuted or dismissed by Galloway as nonsense. Several times did Galloway triumphantly note that if the commission had any evidence “it would have been up on the board.” And that is exactly the point. It seems like that entire charade was meant to bait Galloway into confessing something he hadn’t done, or something that the commission hoped he may have done. The Senators’ innuendos were endless. Shouldn’t they have been able to call shenanigans on Galloway already there and then if they had REAL evidence that they had been able to verify.
Guardian - Mr McKay challenged the validity of the statements made by Mr Aziz and Mr Ramadan. “Tariq Aziz has been in custody and we know from his lawyer this senate committee offered him a deal - just what I do not know, whether reduced charges or freedom - and it is ironic that Tariq Aziz , Yasin and Saddam are being accused, on the one hand, of being homicidal maniacs and on the other of being relied upon to give a true and accurate statements uncoerced.”
The claim that Galloway “knowingly made false or misleading statements under oath” is so obtuse that it could make Coleman look like less of a fool when he undoubtedly gets his ass handed to him again.
And speaking of forged documents, whatever happened to the documents that were displayed during the hearing? Galloway, despite being lured by a seemingly senile Carl Levin, did continue to challenge the veracity of these documents. Levin at one point offers Galloway A COPY of these to verify their authenticity. Like a xerox or something then? Hilarious. Has Galloway been allowed to have these documents tested independently, preferably outside of the US? And has indeed independent legal representation been allowed to question Aziz and Ramadan on this matter. Of course they haven’t.
