Expell Iran … or Israel?

October 27th, 2005 at 20:22 Björn Hallberg

Since Israel is so eager to have the UN make a move on Iran, maybe they could start with complying with the resolutions that they have stacked against them. Ahmadinejad’s quotations, if they are even to be construed as more, may be unprecedented, but so is being able to snub UN resolutions with impunity. It was after all a convenient argument in the case against Iraq, leading up to the war and before that, the continuous slaughter during the 90s. It cost Iraq a million souls. What did it cost Israel, aside from a boycott of Jaffa oranges? The very notion to expel a nation from the only international forum for debate is ludicrous, but if we are really going to do it, I have a better candidate.

There isn’t a particular shortage of controversial Zionist quotes either.
