US rejects North Korea’s nuclear offer

The US is trying to shaft North Korea again.
ISN - “Our view is that stopping their programs is simply something they have to do,” Christopher Hill, the chief US negotiator at the talks, said. “We don’t want to get into a situation where they stop the programs - in short freeze the programs - and then expect compensation over a freeze.”
In the previous session in September, North Korea said it would get rid of its nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees and aid, including in the form of energy.
Listen to this …
North Korea was found to be cheating on a 1994 deal it had signed with the Clinton administration by operating a secret nuclear program. After initially refusing to negotiate with it, the US agreed in 2003 to engage in the multilateral dialogue.
In reality of course it was Clinton who was cheating, in not providing the civilian-use-only Nuclear reactor that the U.S. had pledged. Not only are U.S. pledges not worth a damn, accepting one may actually turn out to your disadvantage and put you on the “axis of evil.” As for the Bush administration, at least they’re transparent in that they don’t even make the effort to conceal their dominant agenda and human rights abuse. The U.S. alone is responsible for the situation on the Korean peninsula and keeping both countries on a heightened and artificial alert since the civil war turned proxy conflict.
