Blackwater offers private armies for LIC

April 2nd, 2006 at 10:46 Björn Hallberg

Apparently, Blackwater USA has built enough momentum and is now able to offer a brigade-sized force to be used by anyone, anywhere, as long as you have the cash. The euphemistic term being peddled is “peace-keeping force” but in reality it means virtual death squads for low-intensity conflicts. Actually, considering the dismal and unchecked behavior of private security firms, even when they have been formally watched over by the (equally morally bankrupt) U.S. military, one must wonder if letting them loose under their own mandate is in fact an insult to death squads.

Private armies will be the next big thing in America’s efforts to seamlessly maintain hegemony. Why send the U.S. military with all the diplomatic strings attached when a private force can act as an extension of the same interests. Interests that are mostly private as well.
