US ambassador recalled from Azerbaijan

April 22nd, 2006 at 09:34 Björn Hallberg

Reno Harnish is most likely linked to the extensive human trafficking scandal that is unfolding. And because Azerbaijan, unlike Kosovo, is of the utmost geopolitical importance, the U.S. actually had to, superficially at least, investigate Harnish and his fellow DynCorp (wiki) slaveholders this time around. Though, for the Washington powermongers, Harnish’s long-term problem may not be that he aided and abetted the wholesale of underage girls into prostitution but rather that his local attempt at a pro-US “orange revolution” never got off the ground.

But as Pravda notes, Harnish will no doubt walk scot free and be back in Baku after the cover-up is complete, most likely working as a consultant for vital American interests, like oil (surprise, surprise), just like his predecessor and still being able to pursue his depraved sex slavery business on the side.
