On The March

  • New Army documents reveal US knew of and approved torture before Abu Ghraib scandal All the way to the top. But as we all know, only foot soldiers were ever put to trial.
  • U.S. Torturing With Directed Energy Weapons?
  • Israel: 35 soldiers raped 11-year-old girl
  • U.N. to probe U.S. torture practises
  • Zacarias Moussaoui sentenced to life in prison But no interest whatsoever in the negligence of the U.S. government and the failure to prevent 9/11. Then again, why prevent something that you have orchestrated. Amusingly enough, Americans are revelling in how Moussaoui will suffer in prison. Well, newsflash, America has the worst prisons in the western world so that is a given.
  • Sweden grants entry visa to Palestinian government minister Israel claims sky is falling and makes every effort to confuse the issue. As does France. Hypocritical hogwash considering that Sweden already allows Israeli terrorists and their apologists to move freely.
  • A dangerously confused George W Bush comments on United 93 saying that it was “the first counter-attack to World War III.” Talk about raising the stakes. Of course, if World Wars are to be so frivolously declared, this ought to be called World War IV, counting the cold war as III. Perhaps even V if one separates this “terrorist” resistance from the less understood but more important resistance to globalization. World Wars are selling like hot cakes.
  • Even the U.S. can’t deny that Billions have been wasted in Iraq due to corruption and mismanagement.
  • Oil Is Behind Struggle in Darfur So everyone knows that China has economic interests in Sudan, but how many are aware that the same is true for the U.S., France and the UK. And what is really behind the idea to replace the African Union peacekeeping force with a UN contingent?
  • U.S. Black Ops are continuing to operate inside Iran stirring up trouble among ethnic groups, aiming to create the same situation as in Iraq when the time comes and prevent any sort of state to ever rise from the ashes to threaten U.S./Israeli hegemony in the region. Records also include violation of sovereign airspace and the assassination of high level military officials.
  • Signing the Constitution Away “President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.” Most jingoistic Americans don’t realize that George W Bush thinks of the Constitution as a “goddamned piece of paper.”
  • Endgame for the Constitution “On Bush’s watch, three million US manufacturing jobs have disappeared. Tens of thousands of highly qualified US engineers have lost their employment. US job growth has fallen six to seven million jobs behind population growth. Recent college graduates are employed as waitresses and bartenders. … Illegal immigration has continued to explode. While Bush spends $1 trillion and many lives trying to control borders in the Middle East, America’s borders remain undefended and over run.”
  • Israel: The Country That Wouldn’t Grow Up Kind of like America then. And it’s not just a matter of young states.
  • Cheney scolds Russia for retreating on democracy as well as using oil and gas as “tools of intimidation or blackmail” against Europe … and a day later he is in Kazakhstan praising the autocratic leader and protecting U.S. oil investments and geopolitical influence. Who is the bigger threat? Russia needless to say is not amused and calls it the start of a new cold war.

It has been a long year. The author is currently biding his time. Lets just say the journal is on a prolonged and much needed vacation. In the meantime you can be sure that I’m watching you all. I guess that at some point I will get so angry that I will in fact have to write something.
