U.S. ‘misplaces’ 200.000 AK47s

May 12th, 2006 at 07:37 Björn Hallberg

99 metric tons of Kalashnikovs headed to Iraq from Bosnia have gone missing. Interestingly the work was contracted to a Moldovan airline (Aerocom) known for smuggling arms to Liberia. The suspicion of course is that this is some covert CIA measure to purposely ‘misplace’ the cache, propping up the civil strife and making certain Iraq will never be a unified force to threaten U.S. geopolitical interests. The flights, allegedly taking place between July 2004 and July 2005 seem to have done their thing. Mission accomplished! Though to be fair, they could have been used to arm any one of America’s proxies around the globe. The only thing one can be absolutely certain of is that a ‘mistake’ like this doesn’t just happen spontaneously.
