US connection to Mumbai attacks

Well, diaspora and domestic Indian bloggers complained that there was no western (blog) coverage of the Mumbai bombings. So here it is, as put by Larry Chin of the Online Journal. Though you probably wont like it.
On July 11, eight bombs exploded aboard commuter trains in Mumbai, killing 190 people. No group has come forward claiming responsibility. But according to mainstream coverage, such as the yesterday’s report in the San Francisco Chronicle by Anna Badkhen, the prime suspects are “militant Islamic groups with ties to Pakistan.”What the mainstream press fails to report is the direct connection between the terrorist groups they name, and akistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) — a virtual branch of the American CIA. This in turn leads back to the same (alleged “al-Qaeda”) apparatus also responsible for the Bush administration’s 9/11 and other post-9/11 terror events.
Even more pertinent perhaps was India’s response to the attacks. In a fit of insanity, they rounded up no less than 350 suspects in a summary fashion and assembled a fearsome 35.000 police to secure sites and infrastructure.
Kurt Nimmo offers further disassembly of the Mumbai event and its links to the US down to the last detail.
Adding India to the neocon alliance, by way of mass murder at train stations (now an established modus operandi), is part and parcel of the ongoing demonization and victimization of Islam at large.
It also dovetails with the current propaganda campaign in America.
The only remaining question then is why India would go along with something like this. What do the elites in New Delhi stand to gain? Well, obviously they’re now able to play the fear and aggression card to unite the populace against a foreign threat. It’s not novel but tried and true. If managed carefully it takes pressure off domestic worries. And India has got plenty of those, despite the claims to the contrary by proponents of neoliberalism and by India’s new ally, the USA. Having read the Idea of India by Sunil Khilnani and a recent article in the NYT ,among others, it is obvious that India is nearing a meltdown of monumental proportions. A meltdown driven by galloping economic injustice and a new sense of Hindu nationalism that had previously been carefully (and thankfully perhaps) suppressed since India’s independence. But now, India is suffering from the same plight as do all democracies in that the new elite has festered and needs to control the public mind. And what better way to do this than to conjure demons out of thin air. As for Pakistan, they certainly have their own share of domestic worries as well. The elites of both nations would stand to benefit greatly from increased tension and violence.
