Timing Is Everything In Terror Prequel

Hot on the heals of the U.S. officially admitting to the existence of a network of secret prison facilities spanning the globe, and just in time for the 9/11 anniversary and the midterm elections comes a sizzling hot ‘new’ pre-9/11 tape allegedly featuring Osama bin Laden as he is being chummy with men who allegedly are 9/11 or would-be 9/11 hijackers. And it is being relayed of course by al Jazeera, the news organization which Americans have been told over and over again is up to no good — and taken at face value would thus have no apparent reason to further an American agenda. Just as the highly suspicious but woefully underreported Al-Qaeda/ISI/CIA connection would too be beyond the amnesic and mislead masses. That is to say, the proper connecting of the dots and the full, rich historic background are carefully concealed from the general public in favor of a more direct and narrow focus on a select few men whose allaged actions conveniently enough can never be suffieciently proven or disproven in any legal sense anyway. Sort of like the mostly well-meaning but somewhat counterproductive, futile 9/11 truth movement’s strategy to approach the story locally instead of from a geo-political angle. Of course, in the end it is wholly unlikely that either the geo-political nor the local angle of attack will sufficiently shatter the hegemonic ‘facts’ as they have been thust upon the public. But I digress.

Speaking of CIA dungeons, Ramzi bin al-Shibh who was moved from one such dungeon together with other “high profile” detainees to Guantánamo Bay just the other day also conveniently appears in the recently released prequel. Bin al-Shibh was of course originally caught in Pakistan, conveniently on September 11, 2002. For those that still remember, he was identified via tapes that were ‘found’ in the rubble of the home of the late Mohammad Atef. The same tapes that were later shown with the sound muted as to “guard against the possibility that the messages contained signals for other terrorists.”

Timing is everything.
