The imperialist, racist and sexist mentality of Robert Wilhelm’s post has been the status quo throughout American history. And its as alive and “well” in 2006 as it was in 1898.

“The country that granted you your independance because you were to weak to gain it yourself.” — unbelivable!

The Filipinos fought the new invaders just as they had fought the Spanish. The U.S. subjugated the Philippines with brute force. By the time the Filipinos were defeated, 600,000 had died.

You sir are a bitter man who wants to look to the United States for the ills of your country. You dont care anything about the filipina girlwho was allegedly raped. If this was a philppine man you wouldnt have cared at all. Because this is not about the girl. This is about you and your hatred for the U.S. The country that granted you your independance because you were to weak to gain it yourself. And let me tell you sir, without the help of the U.S. you would be speaking Japanese right now suffering under imperial Japan. So just keep going on and blaming the U.S. for your countries problems. We are there in your country right now air dropping food to your people from that terrible typhoon. We give hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to your country every year. Not to mention all the organizations who send you money from this country. We have helped your country more than youll ever know in your fight against muslims in your own country. Without the U.S. ypur country would be nothing. And if you were smart you would elect politicians in your country who start promoting buiseness and the econony in your country so you guys wouldnt have to rely on uthe U.S. Dont be jelous of our power. Make a change for the better in your country. Please respond. I would like to hear your thoughts on this subject.
