US troops hold Iraq brothers over internet videos

August 13th, 2008 at 13:31 Björn Hallberg

The US doesn’t like free and open press in Iraq apparently, so they arrest Youtube uploaders, brand them as "propaganda experts" and blame Iran for the whole thing (Khaleej Times).

US troops arrested two brothers on Wednesday on suspicion of posting videotapes on the Internet showing rebel attacks on coalition forces in Iraq, the military said.

‘Coalition forces captured two suspected propaganda experts affiliated with Kataib Hezbollah during operations in the Mansur district of Baghdad,’ the statement.

The US army says that Kataib Hezbollah (Hezbollah Brigades) is a group trained, armed and financed by Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards.
